Other Positions
Athens-GGDA President | 2016 - Present
As the President of the Athens Game Developers Association, I organized the seventh annual Athens Game Jam, where 50 participants competed to make the best game in just 48 hours. My responsibilities included finding a venue, promoting the event, and persuading companies to sponsor the event.
Panel Moderator | October 2018
Acted as moderator on a panel about board game design at SIEGECON 2018, the largest game development conference in the Southeast.
Indie Megabooth Volunteer | September 2017
Volunteered to help a celebration of indie games and music. My role, which was crucial to the event, was helping to set up game equipment, as well as helping different projects be showcased on the main stage.
UGA Hacks Volunteer | October 2015
I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for UGA's first hackathon, but I knew I wanted to participate. So I resolved to lend a helping hand, to make it a better experience for everyone else.
FIRST Lego League Volunteer | Feb 2016
Throughout high school, I was involved in the robotics team which my close friends created. After competing in several FIRST robotics competitions, I decided to help encourage children interested in the same kind of stuff.
Software Development Intern | Summer 2018
Interned at Charles River Analytics, where I worked to create an AR battle space simulation, as well as a library of reusable visualizations for XR applications.
Researcher | May 2016 - Present
When I first tried the HTC Vive in March 2016, it completely blew my mind. That's why I've been doing Virtual Reality research for almost a year now - first just for credit, then as a part-time position.
UGA IEEE Chair | August 2015 - Present
As soon as I heard of a student-led IEEE branch, I was all over it. And after learning so much at their weekly meetings, I was able to return the favor by teaching other students about Unity, and abut VR development. The next year, I was unanimously elected vice Chair, where I delegate necessary responsibilities to keep the club prospering.
Teacher Assistant | August 2016 - Present
After working with my professor for two semesters, he offered me a TA position for the intro class I took my first semester. I accepted, hoping to influence other students, like he did for me.
Programming Intern | Summer 2014
My very first experience with coding was being thrown in the proverbial deep end. I told an Arduino what to do, and it did exactly that. It was very surreal, unlike anything else I've done before - and I liked it.
